The project area is located in the lower basin of the Çine Stream in the “Büyük Menderes Basin”, within the boundaries of the Aydın province Çine district, in the south of the Aegean Region.
The Gürlen Dam is planned in the Çine Basin and is at the upstream of the Çine Dam, which is currently in operation. In this regard, every benefit to be obtained from the Gürlen Dam also causes energy losses in the Çine Dam HEPP located downstream. In the studies carried out, progress has been made by optimizing the benefits to be obtained from the Gürlen Dam and the energy losses in the Çine HEPP.
